Well here are the ships which are availible in the "World of Pirates", altogether there are 9 ship´s classes here. They all have different navigation requirements, sail characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. Each player must make himself his own picture/feeling of the ships. I will give here only a short overview about the pro and cons of the different ship types.

In front the information that NPCs always attack you (if your nations are in the war or you got negative Reputation at this nation), if you have a flagship of the same or one lower ship's class, and always if the NPC ship is larger then yours. NPCs will flee if your ship class is bigger than 2. For example, i sail frigate (ship class 6) and the hostile ships starting from the merchant class upward will attack me. The Fluyts (ship class 4) and lower ship's classes flee when i am on my frigates.

If someone looks for possible upgrades of the ship types, you should look under ship info. Who would like to upgrad his ships, should make certain that it always gets the maximum speed upgrades. Usually that are 3 on speed and then depending upon which one aims at: crew, cannons, loading space, passenger cabs etc.. For developing or repairing a ship type you need a port with a dockyard, which "supply" at least the demanded ship class.

Ship´s classes

The numbers right to the picture of the ship class are the navigation requirement and the navigation costs, i.e. someone with navigation 12 can handle 4 sloops (4*3=12) in his fleet or a pinnace and a sloop (8+3=11). The naviagtion costs depends on the ship's class. Accordingly one can figure out (or let calculate) how many ships/cannons/crew/loading space etc. can be able to sail at once. Depending upon what you want to do, you should always get the maximum out of the navigation costs. The abbreviations correspond the usual type of ship class in the play.

Sloop
Sloop 1/3 (Sloop)

At the beginning of a carreer the sloop is the first ship you can sail. The advantage of the sloop is the hight-speed and agility. Its the fastest ship ingame and at the beginning its (the quickness) the only way to survive. The young captain should allways got a sloop in his fleet while his specialists arent loyal so far. On sloop he can at least escape to next town or open sea.

Pinnace
Pinnace 8/8 (Pin)

The pinnace is the second ship in row you can sail. Everyone should see even whether it likes the pinnace to sails or not. An advantage is the crew at the pinnace, however this advantage holds not for a long time, since already 4 sloops can accommodate more crew than a pinnace. I cant repeat it too often, how important it is to hold more then one ship in his fleet.

Barque
Barque 16/11 (Barq)

This ship is fast and agile, it can hold 40 crewmember and got good cargo for that small shipsize. The Barke is the second fastest ship in the game and accordingly often and is versatile used. For PvP it is not very effective because it has only a few cannons.

Fluyt
Fluyt 24/16 (Fluyt)

The "dutch merchant", as the first of three trading vessels is quite very productive the fluyt with 100 tons of additional load. The fluyt is the fastest and most agile of the "trading vessels", possesses however the smallest loading space. It can be used by various removals also for other possibilities.

Merchant
Merchant 35/19 (Merch)

This is, like the name already gives, a further trading vessel. The merchant got 168 tons additional loading space and so it is better than the fluyt. A fullup merchant can hold 201 additional cargo, that makes the merchant always a good trading ship. The loading-space-navigation-cost-calculation between merchant and spanish galleon should be calculate often.

Die Frigate
Frigate 55/22 (Frig)

The frigate is the first warship which the player can sail. It is agilely, fast and quite powerfull. A fulluped frigate is (from my point of view) the best PvP ship in the game. You can it also use to increase your skills. Its cheap to upgrate and powerfull enough to raise cannonskill at beginning. Later you should use bigger ships to skill. One disadvantage of the frigate is the small loading space of only 40 tons.

Fast Galleon
Fast Galleon 65/24 (FG)

The fast galleon is after the war galleon the ship with most cannons in the game (if its fullup), since it receives equivalent two cannons per upgrate. That makes then altogether 50 cannons on the flag ship. A advantage of the fast galleon is the good sail characteristic against wind, it could be even catch faster ships. A disadvantage of the fast galleon is the very small load at ammunition.

Spanish Galleon
Spanish Galleon 80/27 (SG)

The spanish galleon is the largest of the three trading ships with 242 tons loading space. Fully upgraded it can transport 327 tons of freight. Thats top in WoP and only overshadowed by the low speed of the galleon.

War Galleon
War Galleon 100/30 (WG)

The war galleon is the most powerful ship here in the caribean sea. It has standard equipment of 34 cannons and 280 crew. Fully upgraded is it a "swimming fortress" (on the flag ship there are 80 cannons, and/or. 352 crew per CrewWG). The disadvantage of this warship is the low speed and bad agility. For the war galleon is the direction of the wind not that importent as it is for other ship's classes. Experienced captains on a fullup war galleon should not be underestimate, because if they hit you once, you have to bear substantial damage to ship and crew.
