Navigation

You recieve skill points for sailing (depending on flag ship if you are below nav skill 101), for exploration (for each full percent of map), for sailed sea miles (for each thousand sea miles) and for quick fullfillment of jobs.

A higher skill allows you to navigate more and bigger ships.

For each 2 skill levels you can hire another specialist.

The maximum number of jobs depends on this skill level.

Weapons

You recieve skill points depending on the number of hitting canon balls and the damage they cause.

Increases the damage you can do to enemy ships in canon battles.

Fencing

You recieve skill points for all fence fights agains non player enemies and for victory in fence fights agains human players. The number of points recieved depends on the strengh of the opponent and the number of hits.

Increases your condition.

Trading

You recieve one skill point for each 20 units of goods sold with profit in own nations harbours.

In harbours of foreign nations you only need to sell 13 units of goods with profit.

Increases the income when selling ships in the ship yard.
