Every Englishman able to sail a frigate can take part. Only English characters can take part, but dont worry, other nations will follow in short time. Since this is to be considered a merely sportive tournament, no aggression will be tolerated, and will be punished. Everything is to take place in the Lake Maracaibo south of Maracaibo since George Town is not suitable.  The tournament is probably taking place at the next weekend (12th.-14th of May) Every player willing to take part has to register by Thursday 0.00 h and bring 100 000 pieces of gold. Maybe you ask "Why should I take part?" My reply: "because you can win a lavish prize money!" The winner will receive brandnew frigates. Not just one ... or two....no! - as many as they can take away! (e.g. as many as their navigation skill allows) But that still isnt all! Furthermore the top three will win 1. 15.000.000 gold pieces 2. 10.000.000 gold pieces 3. 5.000.000 gold pieces Is that nothing? (All prizes and money were donated by STI and other donators. Therefore, we explicitly thank ShiityLiLMongolian) Naturally, there are rules that have to be observed.: 1. Every competitor has to report in Maracaibo on time. The whole fleet will be left at Maracaibo. Only Sloops are allowed. They may carry 8 men and food. Wood and cloth are not allowed. 2. Every competitor will receive a 0 upped frigate immediately before the battle and ammunition and crew. This will be used to fight until one is sunk. Explosive ammunition will be used exclusively. 3. Both competitors have to join a team created by the Tournament staff, which is one of two tournament teams. 4. The battle ends when either one ship is sunk or both (!) players have run out of ammunition. If the latter happens the ship having taken less damage wins. 5. There will be a boundary in which the combatants have to stay during the battle. Whoever leaves the zone, loses the battle. 6. Whoever fences, loses the battle. 7. Whoever repairs, loses the battle. 8. Everyone must stay in the port assigned to him and must not leave it until he is asked to do so. Everyone who does not abide to the rules will be sent off the battle field and will be escorted safely to Maracaibo. Every battle is one on one. The matches will be drawn.
